General Care Tips for Lacquer Furniture
- Keep your Furniture Dry
- Use a protective tool. For instance, cover your lacquer finish coffee table with a table runner to protect it from spills
- Always wipe spills immediately *Lacquer is easily damaged with water and if you do not take heed of this warning, you will end up with lackluster and cracked furniture
- Avoid putting heavy items on its top. It would be wise to use a rubber mat or feet under the decorative piece. This will prevent the lacquer finish from getting scratched because of the item
- Observe Regular Dusting. Regular dusting will prevent dust accumulating, which can be difficult to remove in the end and can destroy the finish. Use a soft clean cloth or feather duster to clean it.
